Barton Office Professionals is the premier campus organization for hard working, fun loving, college serving education support personnel.  Our group includes and welcomes all exempt and non-exempt Barton employees, including supervisors, whose primary work assignments are non-instructional.

Members take pride in these B-OP projects which bring positive influences to life on the Barton campus for faculty, staff, and students of all ages:  

• • ANNUAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS  

  • SCRIPPS SPELLING BEE CONCESSION STAND primary fund raiser

  • “DESSERT OF THE MONTH” Foundation auction package

  • AUTUMN PROJECT – "PAWS to Refresh" coffee break for faculty and staff

  • SPRING PROJECT – Easter Egg Hunt for the Child Development Center children

  • CAKE & COOKIE PROJECT - Student Project and secondary fund raiser

All parents of students living on the Barton County campus during the fall and spring semesters receive a letter asking if they would like to participate in this project to celebrate their child’s birthday or other special event while away from home. Based upon the responses, cakes or cookies are ordered and delivered, along with balloons, cards, plates, forks and napkins.  A photo is also taken and sent to the parents, if requested. Students who are unavailable for delivery will be notified where or when they may pick up their cake.

Faculty and staff may also order cakes to be delivered on the Barton County campus during the fall and spring semesters.

All Barton Office Professionals participate in the delivery process as much as possible within their job responsibilities.  This personal delivery process allows the delivery teams to act as ambassadors for our organization. The deliveries make us an active part of the process and are the best way to make sure the student gets the cake on that special day.
