Outreach

Barton’s outreach program stretches beyond traditional learning opportunities and reaches out to constituents across the College’s service area. Individuals in Barton, Ellsworth, Pawnee, Rice, Rush, Russell and Stafford counties rely on Barton’s responsiveness to provide learning experience for their community members and business owners. Options vary by location, but may include:

  • General education classes
  • Seminars and workshops (credit and non-credit)
  • Continuing education classes
  • Customized training
  • Career programs

Depending on your location in Barton’s service area, you may have the opportunity to learn via the College’s Interactive Television (ITV) network. Coursework offered via the network mirrors face-to-face classes with the enhancement and convenience of technology.

Outreach classes are typically offered during the evening and are held at the local high school. Student services including assessment and placement, advisement, financial aid, and tutoring are available to outreach students.
