Barton-Kansas State University
Partnership
Barton Community College (Barton) and Kansas State University (K-State) have partnered together in offering educational programs in the field of dietetics. Barton offers an Associate in Science degree in dietary management or pre-dietetics. K-State offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. Articulation agreements have been formed guaranteeing a student seamless transition from each academic program and between the institutions. Each piece of the program is designed to build upon the other.

Kansas
State University Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD)
The dietetics program at KSU is recognized nationally and internationally for the quality of its graduates. By utilizing multimedia delivery systems, KSU offers the professional courses of the dietetics degree program via distance education.
The didactic program in dietetics (DPD) meets the academic requirements set forth by the American Dietetic Association. Upon completion of the didactic program, students must apply and be accepted into an accredited dietetic internship in order to qualify to take the national examination to become a Registered Dietitian.

Management
KSU offers a Technology Management degree which provides a solid understanding of the fundamental areas in management: finance, accounting, business, and marketing. This degree is designed for students who have completed the A.S. degree in Dietary Management program at Barton Community College and want to or need to pursue a Bachelor's degree in a business related area. The curriculum is designed to prepare the student for the diverse environment of the business world as it relates to Dietary Management. By combining a technical area of concentration with advanced business studies, you can be a professional who has the practical and leadership skills to move forward in business.
